Today is the last day of 2020. I’m going to be straight with all of you: I had a really wonderful year.
Probably one of the best years of my life. I didn’t let COVID get me down. I got out of my apartment and I saw Ontario, I spent considerable time with friends and family. I was at the cottage almost every weekend. My productivity was up!
2021 will obviously bring some challenges, as we’re not out of the woods yet. But, I’m gonna keep my chin up and get on with it.
I’m still a little wary of Trudeau’s clear push to socialism. I think everyone should be mindful about what socialism is, it’s not about fairness or equality. Quite the opposite.
The only personal challenge I faced, really, was the reaction I received from some in regards to my ever evolving political journey.
But with that, I found a lot to be thankful for as well, as I learned what a liberal mind is really all about, and it’s not open, or compassionate, or as empathetic as those on the left claim themselves to be.
It’s intolerance, quite frankly. The fact that they question your mental health demonstrates their lack of any real argument or position other than their narcissitic view that they are morally superior to their critics.
And lastly, the passing of my sweet Gus. I will always cherish the memories of that big lovable doofus.
Have a lovely day everyone and may tomorrow bring with it, a tremendous sense of possibility.
